The concentrations of 7selected pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in the Huangpu River were determined by solid phase extraction and high liquid chromatography-electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (SPE-HPLC-MS/MS). The results showed that the developed analytical method obtained good recoveries (87~107%), relative standard deviation (<14%) and limit of quantification (0.1~1.1ng/L), satisfying the requirement to detect micropollutants in the surface water.
