Abstract:Aseries of tests about the content of heavy metal element, phosphorus, sulfur, organic toxic substance and intensity of radioactivity of radio elements of sediments in Zhushan Bay, Taihu Lake was studied. Though compared those substances contents in Xueyan Area with those in Zhoutie Area, reasons concerning on difference of content and evaluated environmental pollution state was analyzed. The content of heavy metal was generally low, though it’s large in Xuanyan Area; overall, the content of organic toxic substance (HCHs、DDTs、PCBs、PAHs) was low in spite of different origins and contents; intensity of radioactivity of 137Cs and 210Pb were small, corresponded with the regulation for acceptable level of residual radionuclide in soil of site considered for release regulated by our country in opening site; sediment contains high phosphorus elements so that secondary pollution should be avoided in cleaning process to reduce water pollution which caused by phosphorus release. Testing of sediment elements, especially the intensity of radioactivity of radioelements was beneficial to fully understanding the actuality of environmental pollution state of the lake and evaluating pollution level, which also provided scientific date and decision support for pollution abatement, follow-up utilization of cleaned mud and risk management.
