Abstract:The effect of various pH values and light conditions on the La-modified bentonite removing nitrogen and phosphorus in simulation river water at agricultural zone was studied. The adsorption of the phosphorus and nitrogen were better when the pH value between 4 and 8. Average removal rate of TN by La-modified bentonite was 82% and the maximum removal rate of TN by La-modified bentonite was 93%. When the pH value was 4~6, the removal rate of phosphorus after 3 days maintained higher than 95%, maximum rate was as high as 99%. La-modified bentonite absorption effects of nitrogen and phosphorus were better when light intensity was 10 and 20μmol/(m2·s), bentonite removal rate on TN during the first 14 days remained higher than 72%, when light intensity was 20μmol/(m2·s),the maximum removal was 93% at the 7th day. The average removal rate of phosphorus during the whole process remained higher than 90%.
