Abstract:By injecting different concentrations of benzidine (0, 50, 100, and 200mg/kg) into rats, the effect of benzidine on the expression of SOD, GSH-Px, COX and Ca2+-ATPase in liver mitochondrion were investigated by using polyacrylamid gel electrophoresis. COX-L and Ca2+-ATPase-L were expressed at 50mg/kg of benzidine. The liver mitochondrion was induced to express COX-L and Ca2+-ATPase-L by metabolizing benzidine at low concentration while the expression of the four isozymes was suppressed at higher concentration of benzidine (3200mg/kg).
