Abstract:Based on GIS technology platform and analytic hierarchy process, the hazard assessment parameters system for groundwater pollution sources, which was involved in eight indexes related to characteristics of pollution sources and properties of pollutants, were constructed. The coupling model was established by the assessment of source characteristics and pollutant properties. The problem of quantitative evaluation of pollution sources in a groundwater source field was solved. This established method was applied to assess the hazard of pollution sources in some groundwater source field. The potential groundwater hazard degree of the drainage ditches, the seepage pits around the petrochemical corporation and in the river shoal zone in the southern and eastern of study area was high; the corresponding degrees of the petrochemical corporation and the rest areas were medial and low. The results of hazard assessment will provide technical support for effective supervision of pollution sources.
