Abstract:An ultrasonic/H2O2 system was used to degrade levofloxacin, and some influencing factors such as H2O2 concentration, ultrasonic power and initial pH value were investigated. The results indicated that the ultrasonic/H2O2 system had a marked synergetic effect in the removal rate of levofloxacin compared with the single ultrasonic and the oxidation of H2O2. The degradation rate of levofloxcin increased with the increase of H2O2 concentration in the range of 3.0~20.0mmol/L, and an ultrasonic power of 260W could result into the optimum degradation rate. The degradation amount of levofloxacin increased with the increase of its initial concentration. The degradation rate of levofloxcin could reach a maximum value at initial pH 7.14 of the unbuffered solution. The high performance liquid chromatography spectrum results showed that two main products were generated during the reaction, however, which were dependent on the pH value of the solution.
