Abstract:In this study, a desalination pretreatment process library was built, and a screening and evaluation index system for pretreatment process was established based on the characteristics of desalination pretreatment process. Then, the entropy weight method and technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution method (TOPSIS) were used to constructa desalination pretreatment process screening and evaluation model based on themulti-criteria decision making theory. Meanwhile, a program design was implemented for suitable pretreatment process selection. Finally, the developed screening and evaluation modelisapplied to a case study to verify the feasibility of the method, and the results show that the developed screening and evaluationframework can effectively assistthe screening and evaluation of desalination pretreatment process to providea scientific decision-making.
