Abstract:The World Light Vehicle Test Cycle (WLTC) was used to measure the emissions of 84 China VI light-duty gasoline vehicles, including 6hybrid vehicles. The results showed that the greenhouse gas emissions of vehicles generally increase with engine displacement. Vehicles with larger displacements usually have more complex engine designs, which increases the uncertainty of greenhouse gas emissions. The CO2 growth rate caused by the CH4 and N2O emissions from various types of vehicles, converted into greenhouse gas warming potentials, is less than 1%, indicated that CO2 emissions from vehicle exhaust are still the main source of greenhouse gases. In addition, the greenhouse gas emissions of China VI light-duty gasoline vehicles were closely related to the engine technology, and the emissions from plug-in hybrid vehicles can be reduced by about 23.4% to 27.9%.
